Manuel Contreras 1a 1998

Doble Tapa Cedar/Brazilian

Top Cedar
Back and Sides Brazilian Rosewood
Fingerboard Ebony
Width at nut 52 mm
Scale length 65 cm

The "Doble Tapa" naming of this model actually refers to a double back - the interior of the back uses the same wood as the top. This is done to stiffen the back and increase its powers of reflection.

The Manuel Contreras workshop has been constructing the finest concert instruments for over forty years now - and it shows! A real player's guitar. The tone is full with great projection with excellent playability.

This beautiful concert instrument is in astonishing, perfect condition, with no playing marks whatsoever to reveal that the guitar has been owned before. The sound has the typical rich power of the double "top", and the appearance, especially the rosewood on the back, is stunning.
