This instrument has quite a bit of playing wear evident but is still structurally sound with no visible repair work.
Playability is supremely comfortable. This is a real player's guitar - the tone is typical of aged spruce - mellow but with an edge of brightness.
It is extremely responsive and the sound comes out very easily, with an unusually fresh treble for a guitar of its age. The tone is flexible and without 'boxiness'. The volume is also surprisingly loud.
An opportunity to acquire an instrument by one of the U.K.'s best-loved historic luthiers at a very accessible price.
