A lovely instrument by Lakewood, German builders of fine quality acoustics. Lakewood specialize mainly in steel-string acoustic instruments, and this guitar has some of the build design features of this type of instrument. The neck joins the body at the 14th fret, the fingerboard is slightly cambered and the nut width is narrow (48mm). The body size is larger (a 'Grand Concert' cutaway style). Build quality is meticulous with an understated elegance. The pickup is the Lakewood Classic System with the controls unobtrusively but accessibly fitted just under the sound-hole.
This guitar would particularly suit either a player looking for a similar 'feel' to a 'western'-style guitar with a nylon-string tone or a classical-style player looking for a brighter tone with a narrower neck and low set-up.
