Asturias Classical Guitars
Sort: Price High to Low | Price Low to High
Meticulously built on Kyushu island in Japan, Asturias instruments offer a clean, smooth, refined tone with a distinctive character. Ease of playing and neatness of construction is an especially important design consideration for the Asturias workshop, which has been building guitars for well over 50 years. The Asturias approach results in guitars of high quality which offer something a little different acoustically to the Spanish tone.
The Asturias range includes the option of shorter scale instruments that has proved popular for our customers prioritising playing comfort. The attractive, high quality tone woods are carefully seasoned for at least 3 years, longer for the soundboards, neck and fingerboards, to improve structural stability in changing climatic conditions. Asturias' 15 skilled craftsmen then hand build their classical guitars from the carefully treated woods, alongside acoustic guitars, ukeleles and mandolins. At the finishing stage, Asturias master luthier, Wataru Tsuji, inspects each instrument and makes final adjustments.
